30 Street Pianos to appear in Sydney'Play Me, I'm Yours' has been invited to the Sydney Festival 2009 where 30 pianos will be distributed across the city. New Streetpianos Charitable FundJerram has set up a special streetpianos fund enabling 'Play Me, I'm Yours' to be installed in less wealthy cities across the world. The Sao Paulo Festival Mostra SESC des Artes are the first to take advantage of this fund. After spending 3 weeks on the street the pianos are being donated to community groups across the city. |

Small Pox SculptureIn collaboration with the glassblower Brian Jones this new sculpture of the Small Pox virus, Variola, has just been made. During the 20th Century, it is estimated that smallpox was responsible for 300500 million deaths. The virus has killed more people than any other disease in human history. Created in clear glass the sculpture is designed for contemplation and to consider how the artificial colouring of scientific imagery affects our understanding of phenomenon. 20cm diameter. |

Generating ideas for PCTLuke Jerram was recently commissioned by FACT to develop ideas for the Primary Care Trust of Liverpool with an aim to reduce levels of alcohol consumption and obesity in the city. A number of proposals have been generated that are currently be considered. One proposal is the installation 'Last Breath' which expresses the number of alcohol related deaths in the hospital that day, using vast search lights reaching up to the clouds. |
